Vinyl Moon reached out to me with the opportunity to design a sleeve in my own style, giving me full creative and directional freedom for the project.
I designed this vinyl sleeve so its function doubles as a simple memory card game that can be used during game nights with friends. The sleeve includes a cut-out card game, making the record packaging interactive rather than purely decorative. The game board itself is integrated in the back cover artwork, as large colourful tiles in a garden.
The main artwork spread depicts a “garden of memory” hidden behind the gatefold doors featuring the greek goddess Mnemosyne (Goddess of memory). The garden is populated with orange peels, crows, ripe fruit and crumbling statues — all symbols associated with the passage of time and memory.
